...AND THIS WEEK IS GOING BY TOO SLOWLY!!!!!

Break starts for me at 2pm on Friday, after psychology, so I'm wicked excited. ;D I'll get to see some pretty awesome people during break, so that's one thing to look forward to. So, I'll be a little anxious until then as you can tell with my outburst above.

Right now I'm studying for my last Western Civ. quiz, and figuring out what classes I'm going to try and sign up for tomorrow. I'm going to try and get into another art class (which I was stoopid and didn't realize I could've gone in and pick up an extra class, if I didn't get into at least 2 art courses, on Nov. 1st. Oops...) I'm also debating on taking a three hour Intro to Statistics class. I dunno, I'll figure this thing out...

Oh yeah, Ross recorded another song, this time about the TV show Nip/Tuck. I know a couple of you guys love that show, so go listen: http://www.myspace.com/rockinrossi. I liked it, despite the fact that I refuse to watch the show because of the constant use of needles in it...blech! >.< (Though I have a feeling that someone is going to get me to watch an episode at some point..I just know it... Or maybe I'll actually watch an episode by myself, but no guarentees of how long I'll watch if a needle comes onscreen.) ;)

EDIT: Going to watch Nip/Tuck at 10...*sighs in defeat*

Getting my Final Fantasy fix...sort of.

Well, now I can stop feeling my Final Fantasy withdrawals. Yesterday while I was at the mall I found a SNES game called "Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest." After squealing with glee over finding something Final Fantasy that I could play without my Playstation, I bought it (along with "Zombies Ate My Neighbors"...no I have no idea what that game is like, but the title sounded funny. :) ) I played it for a little bit last night, and I have to say...it's an easy game. The summary for it on the web even says so;

"Designed for American gamers as an RPG for younger players in the days when RPGs were still a niche genre, this was a much simpler and less epic RPG than Final Fantasy fans are used to. A much more challenging version was released in Japan with improvements in difficulty and complexity (making this the first and so far only FF title -- not including the movie, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within -- to debut outside of Japan.)
It features simplified controls with easy menus and little customization for weapons and items, plus occasional NPC buddies that join your party and assist in battle."

And as a FF fan, I can say that's true. This game is so easy to figure out! The magic you don't have to "learn" like in FFIX or FFX. You just pick up a book, and voila! You've learned "Quake!" The only disappointing thing is that there are no "random encounters." (For those non-FF-l33t, random encounters are where you're just walking along, and a monster or four randomly appears to fight.) The monsters are just standing around on the map, and you have to go up to them to fight. So, there's less surprise in this game. Not much of a plot either so far. You're job is to find the four crystals, and defeat the dark King. Whoopdeedoo.

Oh and the main character's name is Benjamin...seriously, you do get to chose the name, but according to all the gaming sites, that's his real name.

Cloud, Zidane, Tidus, those are cool names for a Final Fantasy hero.

Benjamin? Whatever...

That's my nerd ranting for the day, now if you excuse me, I'm off to attempt to beat what could be the only Final Fantasy game I'll ever finish within the next 3 years. ;)

Yay, that was fun. :) And so was this past weekend! Friday Ross came up to Oneonta to pick me up. We went to Mills so he could see just why I'm addicted to the smoothies there. ;) Then we went to rent Saw so we could see Saw II on Saturday, but the video store didn't have it so we ended up watching a bad independent film, "Dead and Breakfast." Don't rent it, seriously... The next day I drove around picking up stuff I needed, had lunch with my parents at A&W, and played some Halo 2. Ross came over and we watched Saw, then he started playing Halo 2 (which surprised me since he doesn't like 1st Person Shooter games, but he didn't feel like changing the game. ;) ) So we played against each other for a bit, and then Robert showed up and we played against him. We got our asses kicked, and the score was 103 to -25. (Ours was negative because I got tired of looking for Robert's player and started shooting Ross, who was my teammate, so he started shooting back, and we literally killed our score.)
Sunday I watched Episode III while working on my hat. I finished it while watching Law and Order, and started playing with the crochet hook and making little ornaments. Ross came over and he drove me, Vanessa and Darryl up to Oneonta. We hung out at Mills for awhile and then I went back to my dorm.

So yeah, that was my awesome weekend. :) Thanksgiving break is in about two weeks so I'm looking forward to that. Ross is going to be filming a music video during that time, so that's pretty awesome. And of course I have to see RENT, Harry Potter, Saw II, and do random stuff.

NI!
