In good news for today, I just got volume 2 of the Mystery Science Theater DVD collection. I don't have volume 1 yet...but I will eventually. Amy and I got to watch one of the episodes, and then a few of the "shorts" videos.

"Trumpy, Trumpy!"

I am officially sad now...

System of a Down was supposed to release the first part of their 2-CD set, "Memerize," this Tuesday. THIS Tuesday! I planned on going out right after school to get it. But now I've just read that the release date has now reportedly been pushed back from March 1st...to May 17th.

Damn. And I was hoping to listen to it on the plane ride to Scotland...oh well. :/

Well, I think I am officially dating now. Yeah, you're reading that sentence right, no need to get your eyes checked; Chicky is going out with someone.

I guess it was made "official" yesterday. Ross and I went out to a show last night at one of the American Legions. We stayed for the first three bands, but left in the middle of the third one, (they weren't too good.) We went to some place called Danny's Diner to eat, and I paid for both our meals since he paid for bowling last week. :) We were going to go back to the show, but there was no place to park nearby, and the closest spot was about 4 blocks down. So, instead we went back to my house, (nearly getting hit by a taxi along the way...), and watched the third Lord of the Rings movie. Then he hung around for awhile, (my brother and him talking about Magic and manga), and then he left, with a copy of the first Harry Potter book he is borrowing from me.

Now, you probably got halfway through the paragraph then thought, "Wait, he went to her house, that means he met her parents!" Yep.

My mom was there when he came to pick me up, since my dad wasn't out from work yet. (I'm surprised he didn't leave early or take the day off to meet him. :P ) She was asking him a bunch of questions of course, and Ross handled it very well. He thinks he made a good impression on her, and I thought so too. When we were getting into his car I let him know about the whole "Mr. Lars" story. He thought it was funny, and said he could take on the Special Ops. *laughs* He met my dad when we went back to my house, and my dad didn't hand him the business card for the Special Ops, which is a good sign.

Well, back to whatever I was doing...oh yeah, knitting a scarf that is taking me forEVER! O.o Knitting is fun, but sometimes I can't be a patient person. 0:)

Sushi!

You know, sometimes I create a piece of art that I think is a mastepiece, yet people see the mistakes in it. Other times, I create something that I think is a dud, and people love it. Today was one of those days.

My sketchbook assignment was to create something to do with pattern. I thought this would be easy since it kind of related to my then-concentration theme. It wasn't, and I had to change my theme a little bit to help me. Then I got a random idea. I just painted a sushi on mat board, with green stripes and orange dots as the background pattern. Looking at it, I thought that it would be crap, and I would get a crap grade.

Everyone actually thought it was funny! Ms. Henry just asked me how I came up with sushi of all things, and the class thought that it was funny how random it was that I just drew a sushi. They liked it, though, and even suggested that I do a couple more to make a series. The fact that my hand was shaking when I painted it didn't hurt it at all; it even made it look more interesting.

*sigh* Well, at least I know what my next project will be in art class. :)

Bah...

I give up on templates for now. If anybody finds one relating to art in some way, please let me know, okay?

In any case, welcome to my blog. w00t.

Okay, it looks kind of plain. I'm still trying to figure out how to make some neat blogs, but it's kind of hard when I can't find any good blog templates I like.

Oh well.

This is a test. It's 10:40 in the evening, and I decided to make a blog. w00t. There will be changes to the template once I find some good ones, but for now, here it is.
