Hello from Oneonta State!

I moved in on Monday, and since then I've been adjusting to college life very nicely. I don't think it's really hit me yet that I'm not at home, and am on my own in many ways. Oh well.

Well, first off, my dorm. I live in the furthest hall from ANYTHING. Seriously, the two Freshman only dorms, one which I'm in, are both at the opposite side of the campus from the academic buildings, dining halls, and everything else. We have to walk uphill to get anywhere. Either they did this to help us avoid the Freshman 15, or wanted to be cruel to us poor underclassmen. Oh well, it's good exercise. ;)

My roommate is awesome. We've been hanging out a lot since I got here, and she's really nice. So, I think I got paired up well.

My classes aren't too bad. I took my Western Civilization I, Intro to Geology class & lab, and Intro to Psychology classes yesterday. Today was College Life (a 5 week class), 2D Design, and Composition. The teachers seem nice, but we'll see how these next few weeks turn out.

Food: It's okay. There's some that's not too good, and we didn't go to the dining hall for dinner on Monday because the line was too long, so we ordered a pizza. My breakfast yesterday, an egg muffin with cheese and tomato, was pretty good. I also have a TON of food in my dorm, thanks to my mom, so I doubt I'll starve anytime here. The storage space under my bed is filled mostly with snacks. If I get the Freshman 15, that's why. ;)

Oh yeah, just to let you guys know, my cell phone is being stoopid. I'm having a hard time making calls, and once Ross tried calling, and it said my phone # didn't exist anymore, (after I tried calling him 8 times with no success). I did try to fix it the way my dad said to, but I made it worse. (o.O) So, if you try to call, and you can't get through, that's why.

Well, time to go. I'm just waiting for my roommate to get back from class so we can head to dinner. Then we're heading into town later tonight to check things out. Cya!

Ni!

Off to get an edjumakashun

Well, today's the day. I'll be heading out later to Oneonta, where I'll be going for my Graphic Design degree. I'm not sure what I feel right now; nervous, excited, or if I just ate something bad last night... Anyways, I won't be on the IM for a few days because my computer isn't in yet, so I won't be able to tell you all about my adventures so far until maybe Saturday. I can be reached on the cell, and when I get the chance I'll give you all my dorm phone # and my mail address.

I'll miss you guys so much, and the next time you hear from me I'll be at college!

I'm back! Did you all miss me?

I feel lazy right now, so here's a brief update on my trip.

- Went to the Motorcycle Hall of Fame museum. Saw some of the earliest Motocross bikes, and some recent ones, including Chad Reed and Ricky Carmichael's. Also some old riding gear, jerseys, artwork, and just general Motocross history. Very cool.

- Rode front seat on Millenium Force. I'm surprised I didn't do that sooner, considering that I've been on it 15 times before this trip. ;) It was soooo cool, because we were looking over the hill while waiting for the rest of the train to come by, and MAN did my eyes water the whole ride! 90 mph down an 80 degree hill on a 310 foot coaster in the front seat. Wicked. :)

- Even better than front seat on that, is front seat on Top Thrill Dragster! Dragster is the world's tallest (412 feet), and fastest (120 mph) coaster in the world. I had rode it once before, but couldn't ride it again the last time I was there because it closed. Well, I got on it once on Sunday with Dad and Robert, even though they closed it for a few minutes because it was raining (apparently, that coaster can't run in the rain...). Monday, Nick and I went to ride it, and we both went for the front seat. The wait wasn't that bad, but it didn't matter because it was worth it! Though I did get a few bugs splattered on me, looking down a 90 degree angle drop at 400+ feet is awesome!

- Speaking of bugs, my ride on Millenium Force on Sunday wasn't too good. While we were waiting in line, we noticed the people in the cars as they were coming into the station were spitting and wiping their eyes and clothes. Apparently, there was a huge cloud of gnats around the end of the ride. People were coming off with their shirts black from the bugs splattered on it. That's what going through a bunch of bugs at 65 mph does. I was so happy I wore my hooded sweatshirt, because I pulled it up, and then ducked before I got to the camelback humps, where the bugs were. I only got a few on my hand, and my headrest was covered in them. Eeewww.

Whoops, I guess that wasn't brief. Oh well.

For all of those who've read The Half-Blood Prince, click here --> http://www.punksandnerds.com/innocent.html

I want that shirt!

EDIT: There is a link to a comic on that site in the link above. For those too lazy to find it on that page, here it is. http://www.punksandnerds.com/d/0132.html I'm not sure whether to call this a "spoiler" type thing, because I don't really see it as a spoiler, but you never know what people think. Proceed with caution, and don't drink anything while reading it. If you decide to, keep some paper towels nearby.

http://adctalk.com/index.php?showtopic=1997312&st=0&#entry15932503 Apparently, someone thought that Transformers toys were dishwasher safe... He threw the toys in the dishwasher to dust them off. And he was actually surprised that they didn't come out like he wanted them to. *sigh* Humans...

Anyways, Ross is back early from camp, though not for a good reason. He has mono, so he had to come home. I suppose I'll have to lay off on the alien abductions for awhile so he can rest up and get better.

You didn't read that. *neuralizes your brain*

Also, I won't be available from Saturday to Tuesday evening, because I'll be in Ohio, riding this monster ---> http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/inside_park/rides/thrill/ttd/specs/index.cfm, and other very high and fast rollercoasters. Yay, rides!

Oh, and incase no one realizes this yet, my IM loves to kick me on and off at random times. So if you send me a message, and I get kicked off a couple minutes later, I didn't get it, so don't think I'm ignoring you or anything. Just resend it. No one has thought that yet, (I think...), but just incase.

That is all.

For those who are interested, I've uploaded some of my art to my Deviantart site. Yeah, most of you have seen it before, but for those who haven't, click on the link to the right. --->

Yesterday and Monday I was feeling emotionally shitty at times. Today I'm feeling better. The only thing that's making me feel sad today is that the Allspark is down. Ni.

Anyways, I've got quite a bit of my college shopping done. Still need to do a couple of things, but pretty much it's stuff that if I forget it I can buy in town anyways. I finally got my dad to order my laptop for me, but unfortunately it's not going to ship until the 19th, and most likely won't be here until the 22nd or even the 24th. Which means that he's going to have to bring it up to me, because I'll be in Oneonta on the 22nd. I just need to make copies of my files on this computer to transfer to the new one. It would've been easier just to hook them up and upload them from here, but oh well. I'll survive.

I also put some of my CD's and DVDs into the new case I bought for them. I can't take all of them, so I'm just putting in the CDs I listen to the most, and the DVDs that people will want to watch, which includes both Monty Python films I own, and MST3K. I'm bound to meet other geeks who love these shows. :)

And now, I'm off to either:
A.) Work on my scarf
B.) Clean my room
C.) Scan my artwork onto the computer to put onto my deviantart account.

Nu!

What Political Party Do Your Beliefs Put You In?

*snicker* Good thing my mom doesn't read my blog. ;) I personally don't really align myself with any particular party at the moment.

You scored as agnosticism. You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof).
Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.

Which religion is the right one for you? (new version)
created with QuizFarm.com

I guess that works...

You scored as Confusion -ism. Confusion-ism... isn't really a religion. Either you were once a member of a religion or where once an aethist. Some people were neither, they just never gave it any thought. The Aethist answer of "Nothing exist" just don't feel right to you but then again you haven't found anything that did feel right. In a nutshell, you are confused about it all. You must do some soul searching and studying on every religious elemment you can get your hands on, in time you will come across something that you just feel through and through to be right.

That is actually REALLY close to how I feel spiritually right now.

I would put up some more results, but I'm tired. Good night.

I just went through reading all of the comics on a website called Alien Loves Predator. The plot is an Alien named Abe, and a Predator named Preston, living together in NYC. I have to say, I bursted out laughing at a few of the strips...make that a lot of the strips! Anyways, if anyone's interested, read it here --> http://alienlovespredator.com/index.php

Just reading comics like that makes me want to draw my own. I do have the urge to do my own comic, but I'm not sure where to start. One idea is something about my life, since I love doing self-portraits, but more exagerated. It'd have all of my friends, and just random, everyday situations...and giant robots. Lots of giant robots. Maybe a couple aliens, too.

Excuse me while I go do some doodles now, or read some 8-Bit Theater.

The animal in me...

...is apparently a snake or bat.

http://www.animalinyou.com/Bat.htm

I find them sort of fitting, especially the bat. They both represent the "artistic types." Yet, one says that I'm disloyal, yet the other says I'm very loyal. Hmm...

Anyways, what is the animal in YOU?
